They move slow. They can't recover quickly if stopped. The intention is just transport - move from one place to another place. Not to speed. Never to chase anyone or anything.
It takes a toll on the driver, who burns one's own body to take the bicycle forward. The knees, the sweat, the discomfort on sunny days - it's unexplainable.
We are not sure why the driver ended up with cycle. Maybe there was no other choice. If the driver is hurting by riding the bicycle through ups and downs, sun and rain, well and ill, the first thing to note is that the society has failed to save the driver. The human society is supposed to be equal for all, it should provide justice to all. But aren't we damned that we are seeing the poor driver struggling on the road!
The best thing one can hope for is for the driver to upgrade the vehicle. Maybe the driver will choose a scooty, or a moped, or a bike - based on the distance, necessity and desire. One can just pray for the driver to achieve the freedom to choose whatever is required for the job to get done.
But for the system to change, so much of time and patience are required. Generations may have to wait. People should be collective. Till then, what's the solution? What can be done for the poor driver who did not choose the bicycle for the daily commute? The solution can be: Priority lanes.
Let the cycle go - slowly, smoothly, steadily and unbothered. The cycle is not gonna be a problem to anyone. It is doomed to go slower and to arrive later. Why let the poor bicycle mix with the normal traffic? Why driver needs further suffering? Let them just go.
Honestly this is not such of a big help. It is just to make things slightly better for the driver. It's to bring some peace for the mind, which need not think about traffic or coming into contact with those high speed motored vehicles. Let the driver commute in a better way without troubling other selves. What's harm in it?
P.S. This post is not just about bicycles.
